Former Austin man named lands and forestry director
William H. Aultfather, formerly of Austin, was named Wednesday as state director of Lands and Forestry by Jarle Leirfallom, state conservation commissioner. The appointment is effective July. Aultfather, former Austin Izaak Walton chapter president, has held posts with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the Department of Conservation, and recently completed a Washington course in administration. He is a farm owner near Austin and a 1944-46 Army veteran.
