Austin area girls to compete in Freeborn County Dairy Contest
Three Austin area girls are candidates in the Freeborn County Dairy Princess contest in Conger Minnesota. Maxine Nelson Dor othy Thompson and Sara Faw yer are 17 each and active in 4-H Future Homemakers of America and church groups. They come from Oakland and Austin areas with farms ranging from 176 to 320 acres and several milk cows. The Dairy Princess and Milk Maid events include judging Saturday banquet Sunday coronation and parade at 2 15 p.m.

Juvenile Caught in Twin Break-Ins In Austin
Police report two break-ins in Austin between May 29 and June 6. A gas tank and hose valued at 22.50 were stolen from Donald Pesch’s garage. An Austin juvenile, 17, was arrested at Arnold Rogstad’s home on 12th Street NE for the Rogstad break-in. no one was home, a neighbor saw the incident, doors sustained 8 in damage.
