Severe Storm Ravages Williston North Dakota

Severe weather struck Williston North Dakota on July 22 in a thirty minute storm. West Lawn was destroyed as wind and rain ripped through the town injuring about twenty five people, two seriously. Homes under construction and fifteen dwellings were destroyed, with residents sheltering in cellars as timbers, debris, and a destroyed house littered the area. Authorities report multiple injuries and widespread damage including to a man named Holmes and a woman named Collinson and her baby.

Husband Dead Wife Dying After Auto Crash Near Pittsburg

In Pittsburg on July 22 John J. Wallace a local businessman died from a broken neck and his wife was dying at home from internal injuries. J B Henner and wife, friends of the Wallaces, were seriously hurt when their motor car plunged from a 160 foot embankment on the road to Butler. The chauffeur, after stopping for directions, jumped aboard the side step but could not regain control as the car toppled into a tree.
