Washington report says James A Alman a Washington dairyman died after refusing a bribe of 100000 dollars to poison the cream served to President Lincoln. Alman was known and respected and the bribery offer emerged only shortly before his death. His dairy supplied clients including Lincoln and Secretary Stanton. He never saw the men who proposed the crime after Lincoln was killed.
