Gen. MacArthur's HQ in Tokyo orders censorship of all Korean war news and photos. Dispatches must be submitted in Korea or Japan for security clearance before release, effective immediately. The move follows years of voluntary press restraint and mixed adherence by reporters on what counts as security.
Nicollet County Farm Bureau proposes farm rent controls like urban areas. The resolution will go to the State Farm Bureau federation in St Paul next month. Brown County federation and Nicollet County committees endorsed the plan amid rising land prices harming young farmers. Annexstad cites landlords viewing land as investment and notes erosion of tenant owner relations due to farm management groups.
