The effort may surpass engineers demands totaling about 5 million dollars and involves leaders from multiple unions. A Chicago based committee of general managers chairs talks as voting on strikes proceeds, with reports indicating near unanimous support among engineers for a 15 percent rise.

Reverend W. J. Cleveland Dies in San Diego

Madison South Dakota mourns Rev William J. Cleveland once a Dakota Sioux missionary known as Tall Pine. He helped found Grace Episcopal Church in Madison and was Grover Cleveland’s second cousin. He served on the Sioux commission and, during the 1860s uprising, attempted to pacify tribes, guiding a quick end to hostilities.

Stock Perish in Flames in Wisconsin Farm Fire

Chippewa Falls Wisconsin December 3. A blaze at Lake Hallie on Robert A Lange’s farm destroyed a barn a half block long and killed one team of horses eight milch cows and ten head of hogs. The origin is unknown but suspected to be crossed electric wires. Loss exceeds $7000 with no insurance.

Indictment in murder case against Ben Forman

St Paul authorities indict Ben Forman for murder in the first degree in the Willard hotel shooting of Mrs Mina Altschuler on Nov 22. The indictment says the shooting caused her death on Nov 24. Forman has been jailed and faces arraignment with other prisoners before Judge Orr in district court Tuesday morning.
