Four persons were killed when their car crashed into the rear of a parked cedar truck on Highway 29 near Burnet. Raleigh Hooten, 41, of Kempner, died in a Burnet clinic Tuesday after the night crash. The others were Randolph B. Maxey, 35, a Lampasas lineman, Hazel Burnette and Beatrice Thompson, both of Lampasas. Sheriff Wallace Riddell identified the victims. The truck had been parked with flares around it.
