Bus Conference Expands To Public Meeting In Austin
An 11 member advisory panel led by Ben W. Greig of Austin Transit Inc widens into a public session to chart improved bus service. Rudy Rice, committee chair, said the 8 p m meeting will gather ideas at the 126th District Courtroom, Courthouse, 10th and Guadalupe, with attendees helping form a plan for city and chamber support. The panel includes Emma Long and city officials Bert Lay and William Parker among others.

Plans to widen Boggy Creek channel announced
City Councilman W. S. Drake Jr. announced plans to widen the Boggy Creek channel at Manor Road to prevent repeat flooding from last Saturday’s heavy rain. Funding includes $500 pledges from Bascom Giles and Texas Quarries Incorporated and $500 from the city. City engineers under Noble E. Larson will draw the plans.

Former Austin Woman Beulah Singleton Dies in Delta Colorado
Mrs Beulah Singleton 67, a former Austin resident and sister to two locals, died Monday at her Delta Colorado home. Funeral and burial plans are incomplete. Survivors include her husband three daughters Thelma Van derhoefven Zelda Knight and Marjorie Wilson and two sons Howard Singleton and Leon Singleton.

Church Burglary Breaks Four Day Quiet Period

Reserve MDs May Do Short Active Duty Tours at Bergstrom
