City detectives hunted Tuesday night for 72 packs of cigarettes and a radio taken from a machine attached to an outside wall at 2705 North Guadalupe Street. Charles Basaquette reported a push-button radio stolen from his car parked in the 500 block Rio Grande Street.

UT Prof To Speak At Nurses Meeting

Magnes Funeral Scheduled Today
Funeral services for B. T. Magnes will be held Wednesday at 10 a m at the Cook Funeral Home. The 69 year old city bridge and street employee died Monday night after a heart attack while walking near his home at 1613 Willow. He is survived by his widow, three daughters, a sister, a brother, and four grandchildren.

Frank Potter a Metz School night watchman accidentally shot himself in the leg Monday night and remained in good condition at Brackenridge Hospital Tuesday. He told police he carried a .45 caliber pistol wrapped in a rain coat when it slipped from him and discharged striking his lower left leg.
