Roper Will Seek Case Rehearing In Crow Slaying
Dr. C E Roper Austin dentist seeks a rehearing in the Crow slaying case in the Court of Criminal Appeals within 15 days. Polk Shelton said the conviction was affirmed by the Court of Criminal Appeals last June after a five year sentence. Roper remains free on his appeal bond until the Travis County mandate is received. The July 17 1948 killing followed a wedding anniversary celebration at the Roper home on Fredericksburg road after a night club visit and a dispute in the house.
