The University Baptist Church announces a Sunday program with Dr. Blake Smith delivering a sermon titled The Paradox of God s Grace during morning worship. Mrs Dan Sorrell will guest soloist with James E Green directing the choir and Dan Nicholson at the organ. A 7 30 p m talk by Dr Smith titled Why Did Jesus Die follows the morning service. Afterward the pastor hosts a 30 minute Q A in Lattimore Auditorium for questions on the day s sermons.

The Male Choir of Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary led by Evelyn Mosier Foster will perform at three Dallas churches and Austin College in Sherman on the first of next week. The schedule was announced by the director.

The official ground breaking of the new Asbury Methodist Church will be held Sunday April 10 at 4 p m. Rev Wood H Patrick district superintendent of Austin District Methodism will preside and participate. Rev R Rhea Allison will lead worship before the turning of ground and preach Sunday morning on Adding the Divine to the Human with Sunday night sermon The Generous Spirit Pays Dividends.
