Ross Shaw Sterling, Texas governor during 1931 32, died at 1 52 pm in a Fort Worth hospital after a long illness. He founded Humble Oil later built the Houston Post Dispatch and led oil proration efforts. Survivors include his wife and four children Walter of Houston Mrs Winston Wheeler Wichita Kan Mrs Cleo Miller Houston and Mrs Wyatt Hedrick Houston.
