Dexter couple's unlikely rise from theatre roots to modern life
Smithville, Jan 10. Bob and Florence Dexters, longtime performers and theatre workers, moved to Smithville nearly two years ago to manage a local cinema. Born in Copenhagen and Chicago, they recount a life in vaudeville and silent film, with hardships in Cincinnati and a near freezing bus trip in the Dakotas.
