The Dearborn County Musical Association held a convention in Aurora from Monday the 15th to the 16th with a large concert. Prof Woodbury conducted exercises and offered musical instruction. Officers were elected including Wa. B. Harver president and Rev. A. W. Freeman vice president. board members from Moore's Hill Lawrenceburg Guilford and Dillsborough. The Cythara was adopted as the standard singing book. Prizes planned for next quarterly convention. Public thanks extended to Prof. Woodbury and Aurora citizens. Baptist congregation and Thomas Gaff Esq. for use of facilities. The association plans fall and winter music classes with new teachers in the county.
