Army Correspondence from Camp Hag to Vicksburg

Stirring camp notes and flag affair at Mumfordsville

Dearborn reports a stirring camp day after the Mumfordsville surrender. The Greensburgh ladies presented the flag carried through Kentucky, with officers vowing it shall not fall to traitors. A horse was presented to Lieut. Col. Shaw by noncoms and privates of the 34 Indiana Cavalry. Col. Carrington praised the battalion drill.
