Democratic County Convention set for June 1 1867 at the CourtHouse, Lawrenceburg. A note on a Virginia matter and a missing wagon train headed for Colorado raises safety concerns.
The article reports the death of Mrs. Taylor following a paralytic attack after learning of her husband’s death. She was noted for kindness and widespread esteem. Her funeral was held Wednesday and she was laid to rest at Spring Grove Cemetery near Cincinnati.

John Cornforth, formerly of our town, was living in Illinois earlier this month.
In Marrtep on April 18 1867 Rev J M McRee joined Francis M Hinds to Lucinda Burroughs no cards. The Nixon estate sale occurred that day reflecting extravagant bidding. Town notes music at night and local businesses plan sales and moves.
The Lawrenceburg column reports J. Lucas sold Elm Street residence to the widow of Wm. S. Miller and moved to Cincinnati. K. M. Lewis bought Dr. Tate’s house and begins remodeling. Fred Bell bought two lots on Tousey’s addition for a palatial home. Mrs. Chas. C. Mason’s remnants buried at St Paul. A local turnpike company is forming with enough stock to proceed. Marriage announced of Martin V Bruce and Cornelia Givan. Henry Wind dies suddenly from consumption. Dr Strickland's Cough Balsam praised as a cure.
