Ninety delegates from this district attended the state library association meeting here on Tuesday from surrounding counties. A. H. Stivers moved to LeMars and has taken over duties as agent for the Illinois Central. Verna Miller married Orvis MacBride on January 21 1982 in Plattsmouth Nebraska. The Alta Concert Band and Buena Vista County fair directors reached an agreement for the band to play at the fair. For the first time in Alta school history a class of seniors will graduate without a commencement speaker this year. Watch your subscription date.
Five cars stolen in Cherokee county this year were traced to a gang of four youths who admitted their role on Wednesday. Mayor A Lawrey Jr announced Clark Bolser of LeMars elected commander of the ninth district American Legion at Rialto Theatre meeting. F E Moraine named motor vehicle inspector for Cherokee territory. duties begin immediately. A demonstration of basket making by women of Rock Willow and Grand Meadow townships won first place at the Cherokee County Farm Bureau Achievement Day with about 300 women in attendance.

Arthur A Coburn announces candidacy for State Representative from the 79th district with a platform of efficiency economy lower taxes and fair cost distribution subject to Republican primaries on June 6 1932. A L Allen seeks County Sheriff nomination in Cherokee County and E D Lamb promotes local candidacy in Tilden Township urging support in the June primaries.
First graders celebrated birthdays with candy as the school prepared a year end exhibit attended by 112 registered adults. Second graders reported strong parent support and detailed spelling, math, and reading progress with top averages and several students earning A grades. Fifth grade highlighted perfect or near perfect spelling, semester exams approaching, and a large visitor turnout. Third and fourth grades noted visitor presence, ongoing spelling excellence, and exemptions from certain tests. The senior high girls demonstrated a physical education program emphasizing posture, leadership, and teamwork.
John Grieme and Miss Leone Fahr were business callers at Aurelia Mon day. Mrs. Walter Holtz spent Tuesday at the W J Beatty home at Storm Lake. Fred Sump and son Wilbur of Yorktown and Eldor Sump of Clarinda Iowa are visiting friends and relatives in this community. Mrs. Lester Kolpin and daughter Marlys, Mrs. Herman Wrede and daughters Lorene and Laverne, and Mr. and Mrs. Wm Speckerer and family were Cherokee snappers Monday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs Reinhart Miller of Galva spent Wednesday at the Dick Schmidt home, and Mr. and Mrs August Miller of Galva spent Friday at the Wm Specketer home.

Mr Charles Everett and Mrs Nellie Parker united in marriage at the Congregational parsonage in Aurelia on Saturday evening May 21 at 7 30 oclock with Rev Edwin Trigg officiating. Attendants were Oscar Sansen and Mrs Rosealie Johnson. The groom has long run a dray business in Aurelia and the bride formerly lived in Gallatin Missouri where she has worked as housekeeper for Mr Everett.
The Aurelia Community Club postpones its meeting by one week due to commencement exercises. The last meeting of the season will be held at the club rooms Friday evening June 3 at 8 o clock. Members are urged to attend with family or friends. luncheon will be served and a social evening planned. Secretary Lars P Nelson notes details.
