Imported cattle must be retested for tuberculosis or brucellosis within 90 days, unless from accredited herds with clean tests under a regional plan. Farmers Catch Up With Spring Planting In Iowa
Favorable weather over the past two weeks helped Iowa farmers nearly complete spring work. For the week ending May 24 some 83 percent of corn was planted, near normal, while the prior week saw 57 percent, about 13 percent below normal. Planting varies from 100 percent in some areas to 20–30 percent in southern counties. Recently planted corn germinates well, though some early plantings may need replants as small grains improve with better weather. Wedding stationery at Sentinel.
