Rites Held for Mrs Schulke 97 in local church
Funeral services for Mrs Caroline Wilhelmine Schulke 97 were led by Pastor O A Marquardt at St Paul Lutheran Church. She died Sunday at Kiolhede Nursing Home Alta and is buried in Hanover cemetery. Survivors include sons Charles of Aurelia and Ted of Cherokee, 15 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.

The annual Cherokee County Fair will open Monday August 2 for a three day run at the Fair Grounds just south of Cherokee on Highway 59. Sunday focuses on entries with 4 H home economics and family crafts from 1 to 5 pm and live stock and agriculture entries from 1 to 9 60 pm. Monday begins at 8 am with 4 H judging and displays open 8 am to 10 pm. Kids enjoy a 1 30 pm Canyon Kid program and the evening features Aurelia band at 7 15 pm.
