Flax Planting Seen Safe as Demand Outpaces Supply
Iowa farmers told to plant flax without fear of price drop. Extension agronomist E S Dyas of Iowa State College says a 70 percent acreage rise in older flax regions could still keep production below domestic consumption. Even with high yields, growth would not topple the 65 cent per bushel price support as the Agricultural Marketing Service estimates.
