The Fort Dodge C I O baseball team will play Wattie Holm's Aurelia sluggers Sunday afternoon at Aurelia grounds with 2:30 pm pitch. The two teams previously tied 4 to 4 in a twilight contest at Fort Dodge. Fort Dodge reached the state tournament semi finals in Des Moines, promising a fast, closely played game.

Aurelia Midget Team Tops Cherokee Juvenile Lineup

Aurelia’s midget baseball squad beat Cherokee 20 to 6 on Aurelia grounds after a 16 to 4 win at Cherokee last week. Battery was Huck Brady and Bob Coombs in Mondays game with Brady and Chuck Rapp in the prior win. Coach Ralph Brown, Aurelia catcher, directs three practices weekly, praising Lloyd Herman son as top hitter and Donnie Wieland at shortstop.

Football Schedule Shows Road and Home Games

The schedule lists nine football games from Sept. 22 to Nov. 11 with venues alternating between there and here, including Sioux Rapids, Central high in Sioux City, Akron, Marcus, Peterson, Paullina, Cleghorn, and Alta.
