Lori Allen bride elect Steve Thomas was honored at a linen shower July 31 in the Rune Gustafson home. A salad luncheon was served at 1 30 o clock. The honoree's colors rose and white were used in the decorations. Hostesses were Mrs Ervin Brake Mrs Louis Hausman and Mrs
Mary Circle of the United Methodist Church will clean the church tomorrow at 6 30 p.m. A large potluck at Larry Kolpin’s Sunday honored Mr. and Mrs. Fredrick Kolpin and family of Thousand Oaks California with many local guests. Aurelia Friendly Seniors held 72 members for a potluck mixer and activities. Sept 14 is Senior Citizen’s Day at the Clay County Fair with free admission 1 to 5 p.m. A correction notes the Gahlen Gilberts were guests not members. Aug 13.
Twenty four Aurelia Cub Scouts and three Den Leaders attended Day Camp at Wanata State Park near Peterson. The program featured archery, nature hikes, games and tie-dying shirts supervised by four Sioux City Boy Scouts. A Clay County Sheriff's Deputy spoke to the group about his profession and demonstrated equipment from his car.
A dance event will follow the wedding at Cobblestone Inn ballroom at 9 00 p m on Saturday August 14. Music is by The Caravan. All friends and relatives are invited to attend.
Twenty nine youths from Bethlehem Lutheran Church Cherokee and six adults left Tuesday for New Orleans to attend the National Youth and Adult Lutheran gathering. They plan to return Sunday.
The writer thanks friends and relatives for cards flowers and gifts received during illness and after return home. Gratitude is extended to Rev Olson for visits and prayers and to Dr Berge and the nurses for their care.
