Minor’s garden weighed one and three-fourths pounds. many relatives and friends shared in birthday and visiting occasions.
A Cherokee caller visited the Alfred Simpson home this week. Mr and Mrs T P Ohlson and family and Mr and Mrs Lloyd Ohlson and family were guests Sunday in the P A Swanson home in Cherokee. Rev Minor left for Lark North Dakota for a visit with relatives, accompanied by his sister Mrs Ernest Johnson and brother Bob.
Mrs. Menefee and Mrs. Forsythe with McKinley Menefee visited the Odor home near Rembrandt. Oscar Lewis and La vonne of Newell spent time at Leon Sanborn's. Raymond Zwick returned home after a two week visit. The Youngs and Tom Lester joined a Storm Lake picnic. Other visits included Mrs. Harold Anderson near Alta, Walter Lewis's family in Spring township, and the Zwick and Snyder clusters near Linn Grove. Emma of Cherokee called at Earl Zwick's. Ella Honsbruch visited her sister, Mrs. Walter Kelpin. Aurelia's John Eding spent Tuesday with Chas. Menefee. Afton attended Achievement Day in Cherokee. Mrs. Glenn Loucks left for Oskaloosa to visit relatives.
Albert Grashoff of Aurelia is performing repair work on school No. 4 in Afton as a local project.
