St Paul Ladies Aid held a Craft and Food Fair on April 14 serving sandwiches pie and coffee. A Bicentennial Afghan by Mrs John C Peterson sold at silent auction and proceeds funded the organ fund. President Mrs Lester Hiemstra led the business meeting with 44 members present.
A sincere thank you to sympathizers for prayers and memorials during the loss of our loved one. Thanks to Pastor Olson, clubs, church groups, the Faith group for the funeral dinner, and Lowell Jones for years of support over Dave’s 60 years of illness. These acts will not be forgotten.
Lake Sunday lists a May 2 program with Rev Ladlad as guest speaker on God at Work in the Philippines. American Legion Auxiliary plans May 4 dinner, with serving committee named. A bridal shower for Brenda Sue Sweet occurred April 20 at the Community Center with about 85 guests, attendees named, and gifts exchanged. Miss Sweet became Mrs Scott Stutz on April 23. Easter dinner guests and local club meetings are also noted.
The Congregational United Church of Christ requests reservations for you and a guest with Mrs. Harry Wilson by May 12 for an event on May 14 at 1 15 p.m.
