A special meeting of Aurelia’s city council on March 7 1939 appointed C E Dierks to fill a vacancy as assessor for the unexpired term. Dierks declined and John Holderness was appointed to fill the vacancy. Mayor Sig Matzdorff declared the resolution adopted and the council adjourned.
