The Aurelia Sentinel announces a hard time party for Cherokee county youth at the Eagles hall in Cherokee on Friday. A nickelodeon dance will feature Cherokee musicians with a dress code for hard time costumes. Admission is 10 cents. Bata Sigma Phi of Cherokee sponsors. parents invited to watch from the balcony.
Immanuel Lutheran Church Elk announces a special congregation meeting next Sunday at 2 p.m. All members are urged to attend. The Ladies Aid bazaar and bake sale will be held at the Legion club room Saturday afternoon April 3 with coffee and pie served. Next Thursday the Ladies Aid meets at the church at 2:80 p.m. Bible study follows.
Trinity Lutheran Church Alta Iowa lists church school and Bible classes at 10 a m with morning worship at 11 a m Pastor C Philip Holmberg sermon Tests and Fruits of Conversion Daughters of Trinity meet Monday at 8 p m at Stanley Fredrickson home Choir rehearsal next Thursday at 8 p m Classified ad note preserved for sale.
Mt Olive residents host and visit neighbors across Cherokee Aurelia and Holstein. Guests include Lorne Anderson family Aurelia Melvina Johnson and baby Aurelia Catherine Crippen Cherokee Jim Hartigan Sioux City trips Frank Marsh Cherokee and Earl Crippen Easter services Cherokee.
Last Tuesday residents near Alta hosted neighbors and visitors including Miss Eunice Bruce from Morningside College and Miss Beverly Ohlson from Denver. Aurelia fire crews were called to the Rev Otto Braunschweig residence in Afton township Wednesday at about seven. Neighbors aided in extinguishing the blaze before arrival. fire started where the kitchen stove pipe meets the chimney. Damage described as slight.
Pal Club hosted by Doris Mummert had ten members on Friday March 26 with Mabel Parrott presiding. Entertainment was led by Genevieve Jones and prizes won by Mabel Parrott and Melva Anderson. A C C met Wednesday with Ralph Kludas hostesscy, gifts exchanged, letters from Greece read, and prizes awarded to R Gates and R Zwick. Next A C C meeting set for April 14 at Paul Jones home with Wm Kludas as hostess. Galen and Dean Gilbert visited. Brownmiller family moved to Braasch farm Spring township Tuesday.

Mrs Arnold Grieme was hostess to a Stanley party on Wednesday with Mrs Fred Fick giving the demonstration. A delicious lunch followed. Mrs Sophie Hinkeldey celebrated her birthday Sunday evening with attendees including Mr and Mrs Carl Lebeck and Mrs Sophie Roggon of Storm Lake. Mr and Mrs Arthur Woghan and Larry of Aurelia visited Sunday afternoon at the Harry Lietz home.
