Connecticut District Court Schedules Change in 1812 Terms
Congress enacts that the district court for Connecticut will be held on the fourth Tuesdays in February May August and November each year. It directs cases and proceedings currently in court be moved to the new schedule and sets transitional provisions for filings and continuances through 1812. The act also establishes a Quartermaster Department for the army with roles, pay scales, bonds, and oversight requirements. Independent sections authorize purchases, transportation, and depot management and prohibit conflicts of interest for senior officers.
