The partnership between Whipple and Booth of the Eagle Tavern and Savannah Stage Office is dissolved by mutual consent. All debts of the firm will be paid by Whipple, and all debts due to the firm are to be collected by him only. J. Whipple and D. B. Booth sign. The house will continue under J. Whipple. May 16.
Planters Hotel announces it has been taken by a new subscriber occupying the premises between Reynolds and M’Cartney streets facing Jones street near Broad street. It proclaims itself the largest and best suited for travelers in the state with family rooms and stables. John Miller Augusta Ohio 7. editors of several papers urged to publish for three months and remit payment to the Georgia Advertiser Office.
Ma and Mrs Warner announce a new academy for young ladies in Augusta opening the first Monday in December in Danforth's School Room Reynolds Street. The program includes logic rhetoric moral and natural philosophy and optional Latin and Greek with tuition by branch. Sessions offer care and deportment for country girls and include music drawing and French instruction. October 28.
G L Culmesnel announces a Dancing Academy opening in Green Street Augusta on October 14 with enrollment through January 1821. The day school runs Saturdays from 9 to 12:60 and 3 to sunset, the night school Mondays and Thursdays 7 to 9. Tuition is ten dollars per quarter for day and eleven for night, with private lessons available at students homes or at the academy.
The subscriber offers general commission and brokerage services, can receive orders to buy or sell, and provide safe storage for goods.
