Volunteers and Regulars Clash Over Good Troops
The piece argues that volunteers from the Right Wing, including Louisiana and Georgia units, performed better than regulars in battle and discipline. It challenges Gen Scott’s claim of "good troops" and cites Oloklikaha and Fort Crane incidents to praise volunteer conduct, health, and subordination while condemning regular drunkenness and failures.
