A Scene With Moore and Lady Blessington in Naples

In Naples a scene unfolds around Sir Walter Scott’s memory and Moore. Lady Blessington’s wit and grace draw out guests as Scott, frail, is coaxed to appear and greeted with fervent homage by Italian literati. Moore’s vivid portrait and talk of Grattan and O Connell punctuate the lively gathering before music and reminiscence fade.
