Notice of Nine Months to Apply for Leave to Sell Estate

Nine months after the date of the coVry application to the Superior Court of Richmond for leave to sell the entire estate of John Cadets deceased for heirs and creditors. The property includes extensive tracts of land totaling over two thousand acres, river and city lots in Augusta, plus numerous parcels in Richmond and Washington counties with detailed boundaries and neighboring landowners. Also listed are several city lots in Augusta with specific block and street references and other rural tracts and river lands across multiple counties.

Land petition to sell 94 acres for Elizabeth Wiley minor

Nine months after date the interior court of Columbia County will hear an application to sell 94 acres more or less of land adjoining Edward Short, Thomas Few, and James Ross. The proceeds go to Elizabeth Wiley minor, with James Ross as guardian. March 27, 1812.

Arabial Barbary horse offer for Burke county mares

An advertisement by Lewis Byne seeks mares for a fall season at his Burke county stable. The stallion, described as a premier Arabian blood horse from Algiers, is offered at thirty dollars for the season with options including notes payable December and a twenty dollar season discharge. Mare care, feeding at twenty five cents daily, and free boarding for servant caretakers are noted. General Ridgeley and other gentlemen praise the horse’s running qualities.
