The Minerva under Weston from Greenock encountered the wreck of the brig Palmer of Bucksport in latitude 48 22 and longitude 34 27 during outward passage. The Palmer’s crew were saved and taken to Newport Wales as the Minerva issued from St Augustine on February 29.
