Deserters Listed With Rewards in 1813 Georgia Notice

Army deserters named from 3d U S Infantry and 2d U S L Dragoons are urged to surrender or be confined. Rewards of ten dollars each offered for Jonathan Jackson John Butler and Thomas Dial plus expenses. Another notice seeks Stephen Graham a U S Army deserter for apprehension with reward. Property sale of Harper Matheson firm and owed debts of Duncan Matheson in Augusta scheduled March 23.

Act clarifying alien enemies law in 1812 approval

By authority an act supplements the alien enemies law and states that provisions do not extend to any treaty expired or not in force at the time the President issues the proclamation. Signed by H Clay Speaker and W H Crawford president pro tempore on July 6 1812. Approved.
