About 120 to 150 men from Washington Volunteers, German Fusiliers, and Washington Light Infantry join, with Capt Fincer and Capt Ravenen leading. Capt Mactan offers his steam boat Augusta to transport them free, and to assist women and children leaving. Reports also note Creek Indians killing two men in Baker County with several wounded.
