The seller offers the whole or any part of a general stock on liberal terms until Friday the 21th of January 4812, with remaining items to be sold at public auction on that day. Private sale terms are to invite purchasers even in dull times.
The Augusta Catholic Church lottery trustees announce they cannot sell enough tickets and will seek subscriptions to raise funds for a temple. A committee will visit citizens soon to collect the amount paid for purchased tickets.
In Spring last Marsie Slabs said to serve as monuments for deceased persons were broken up in Mr Freeland's boat and no owner appeared. The owner is notified where found and must pay charges or they will be sold after six months to cover expenses. Also warnings against endorsing or paying a note from 1812 and a due bill to Major Peter H Collins, with further forbidding statements by Thomas Moore sworn January 16, 1812.
Georgia Governor David B. Mitchell issues a January 7 1812 proclamation offering a reward of 100 dollars for the apprehension and capture of Hansel Roberts, who fled custody after an 1811 Laurens County murder of Benjamin Harrison. The notice orders civil and military officers to aid in apprehension and directs newspapers to publish the proclamation twice.
The Bay Springs dwelling six miles above Augusta on the direct road to Milledgeville offers an excellent tavern stand. For further particulars inquire of Floyd Jarvis, the subscriber.
A bright sorrel horse about six years old four feet ten or eleven inches high with a cut foretop and switch is missing after a Saturday night in Augusta. Anyone who has information or has found the horse should bring it to the Chronicle office for a reward of ten dollars.
A notice offers 20 dollars and expenses for capturing Lane a 35 year old Black man formerly owned by Ngajoc Phinizy known in Savannah and Augusta as a Bear hard. Any person who apprehends Lane and delivers him to a jail in Georgia or South Carolina or provides information will receive the reward in January 17th Terv is Ballard.
A brief notice states cash is given for clean linen and cotton rags at the Chronicle Office with a date of November 29 referenced in the fragment.
In Richmond County an 1812 Court of Ordinary order directs the Clerk to identify all escheated property within the county and to render periodic accounts. The clerk may rent real estate by public notice, securing rent and return with possible state attorney aid. Isaac Herbert signs as clerk.
All persons having claims against the estate of Henry Early of Oglethorpe County are asked to present them for possible payment. Those indebted to the estate should pay promptly or legal action will follow. Executed by Dudly Dunn executor, January 17, 1812.
Waddell Allen administrator announces sale by order of court of two adjoining tracts of one hundred acres each in Waynesborough Barke County. The parcels adjoin lands of John Deniel and others and are held as property of Sarah Pectygrove, deceased. Sale to occur Tuesday March 4. January 17 1812.
An itemized sale notice lists groceries shoes boots wagoon chair iron and plough-molds cotton and burlap twine straw bonnets wine and a new ark made gigs with plated harness. Offered for cash by Samuel B Hill & Co dated January 10.
A notice announces the sale at the Savannah courthouse on the third Monday in May 182, of confiscated properties in Glynn, Bryan, Liberty, Camden, and other counties. Lots in Brunswick and numerous tracts including 500 to 1500 acres are to be sold, with proceeds to be paid in cash or at state-demands, and plats of resurvey to be shown at sale.
