Franco Returns with 16000 Bales as Market Holds Steady
On January 18 Haver Miterr reports the Franco arrived with about 16 000 bales of supplies from the United States, lifting stock to 35 6000 bales. Manufacturers lack stock and expect firm price maintenance. Upland cotton ranges 130 to 140 for fair to extra prime, New Orleans 135 to 155. A January 10 note says the market is firmer due to US-U.S. collision fears.
