Subscriptions for United States stock in 1807 law

A 1807 act details subscriptions to new three and six percent bonds, option to receive six percent or old stock credits, formation of agents in London and Amsterdam, transfer rules, interest terms, and redemption provisions. Public Notice on Exchange of Old Government Bonds in Georgia

The Loan Office in Georgia announces a July opening to receive old six percent deferred and three percent stock for new six percent bonds. Subscriptions run through March 1808 with quarterly close dates, and exchanges are redeemable at the United States’ option. European holders may opt for interest in the United States or London Amsterdam, subject to bankers commissions.

Note on 1000 dollars stock subscription terms

Proprietors of 1000 dollars nominal six percent stock subscribed before the first of October will be entitled to receive 64962 of new stock. If subscribed between the 1st October and gift December 1807, 64437 between the days.

Proprietors Entitled to Redeem Old Stock and Debentures

The notice lists denominations and redemption windows for old stock and subscriptions. It notes nominal deferred amounts from 1807 and 1808 with entitlement periods from October 1807 to December 1807 and January 1808 to March 1808. It also mentions holders of 1060 dollars three percent stock receiving 650 dollars of new stock.

Richmond Fair Informant Seeks Owners of Two Negro Men

In Richmond Fair a Negro man named London about 36, 5 feet 7 inches tall, wearing a cotton shirt and rived overalls declares affiliation with Mr Hugh Hav of Baldwin county. Peter, an African about 18, 5 feet 6 inches tall with damaged upper teeth, speaks little English and wears old cotton cloth shirt and brown overalls claiming ownership by Mr Phillips.
