Caution Against Sale of 2000 Acre Georgia Tract
Public notice from Christopher R. Keene in Charleston dated July 10 1016 cautions buyers against purchasing a 2000 acre tract on Rocky Comfort Creek in Jefferson County Georgia. The land, granted to Charles Burnett then conveyed to Seymour and to the late Rev Dr Alexander Findlay, is claimed by William H Jackson and James Jackson as executors of General James Jackson. The notice states possession without right during heirs minority could defraud widow and orphans and the tract is no longer for sale pending legal authority decision.
