Sale notice and runaway slave alert from Mount Enon region
Public notice dated April 1809 lists the sale of thirty to forty head of cattle and household goods at Mount Enon with two large houses on the mount and credit terms. A runaway enslaved person named TQM, about 30, six feet tall, with a beard, described as belonging to Henry or James Stokes, is sought by Sheriff A Rhodes in Richmond.

Public apology and retraction to clear Dr George A Brown
A misdirected accusation in Charleston and Augusta papers blamed Dr George A Brown of Wright Borough Georgia for a cotton swindle. The accusers retract publicly at Pendleton Court House declaring Brown innocent and expressing remorse for the harm caused, with declarations to be printed for three months in Charleston and Augusta newspapers and filed in Pendleton and Columbia county records.

Nine months after the filing, an application will be made to the Interior Court of Greene County for leave to sell 225 acres on Redland Creek near Collier Hemphill and Finney. Lands to be sold in Lincoln County estate of Shadirach Mims
Upon the date hereof an application to the Inferior Court of Lincoln County will seek permission to sell four parcels of tract land. The first parcel amounts to 1460 acres on Little River joining Grinage and Colling. The second parcel contains 200 acres on the same river joining Wm Hunter lands. The third parcel is 154.5 acres joining Grinage on the river. The fourth parcel is 96 acres on Savannah and Little River. These lands are part of the estate of Shadirach Mims deceased and are administered by Elizabeth Mims and Seaborn Mims.
