Mrs Ella Barker McDermond, 39, killed herself with a 32 caliber revolver at midnight in her rooming house at Jackson and Union streets Attica. After a jovial evening with friends she appeared despondent over losing the house and future. Boarder John Bailiff found her shot, dying within minutes. an inquest was scheduled.

Death From Diptheria In West Lebanon
Alfred Ribble nine year old son of Mr and Mrs A M Wurtsbaugh died Sunday night after a brief diphtheria illness. Because the disease is contagious no funeral was held. The body was laid to rest in West Lebanon cemetery Monday afternoon.
