The plant aims at 600 tons daily within a year and Illinois contract shipments will raise prices from 1 25 to 2 00 a ton after a railroad switch is completed.

The Hoosier club members and their husbands gathered Friday at Mr. and Mrs. Roscoe McCord for an autumn themed evening. Attendees wore old fashioned costumes, enjoyed childhood games, and listened to Allen Dunkin as music. Dr. Kenney won a pumpkin weight contest with a 27 pound guess and a pumpkin pie prize. A delicious supper followed, prepared with help from Miss Inez Hatton and Miss Mildred Whittaker.

Purdue Father to sue college over student death
From South Whitley comes word that A L Ovencham, father of the Purdue student killed in the tank scrap at the university, will sue for ten thousand dollars. The suit faces questions of university responsibility similar to those in a football game. Death claims Chas Berry editor of Veedersburg News
Charles M. Berry, longtime editor and publisher of the Veedersburg News, died suddenly at his home after a stomach hemorrhage. He retired three weeks earlier and had directed the paper with a strong local voice, community promotions, and a broad readership. He was born March 8 1863 in Waynetown. survived by his son James E. Berry and his wife Beatrice Howard. Funeral services were held in Veedersburg and Waynetown.
