JLL B Reed was elected Mayor of Attica for the seventh term by a larger vote and plurality than before. He has led the city since September 1894 and starts his new term January 1. The office now lasts four years with a salary of 500 dollars annually.

Chester Allen Meek, Attica resident, won the Crawford County judgeship on a nonpartisan ballot amid three opponents. At 24 he is the youngest judge elected in Ohio, a graduate of Ohio Northern University who has practiced law with his father in Bucyrus. His marriage to Lillis Beasley was announced after their flight to wed April 10. The Ada administration building burned the following night, a claim his supporters deny as retaliation for his win.

Swedes Celebrate Death of Gustavus Adolphus with Church Event
The Swedish Lutheran church members and friends gathered Tuesday evening at the Holm home for a 93-guest commemoration of Gustavus Adolphus’s death 281 years past. The program featured music, talks on the king’s life, and a surprise cash purse for Pastor Berghult, followed by refreshments. Mrs Dunklebarger is laid to rest in Veedersburg
Mrs. John Dunklebarger died at her mother Mrs M Ott home in Veedersburg after months of failing health. She formerly Miss Lesa Ott spent most of her life in Veedersburg and is survived by husband daughter mother and one brother. Funeral held at 10 30 Thursday from the residence with interment in Attica cemetery. Elmo Foster of Gatun Panama visited aunt Mrs Joe Hatton for ten days. he left twenty six years ago for Pennsylvania and has worked for the government in Gatun.
