County Council Set Budget Near 100000 For 1914 Session

Home on furlough after European naval cruise
Henry Mullinnix son of the superintendent and Mrs Mullinnix returned Wednesday from a European voyage with US naval cadets aboard a government war vessel. He will stay a month then resume Annapolis training. The cruise included Belgium France Spain and Gibraltar with shore leave and sightseeing in Brussels The Hague Paris and other ports. Henry praised Gibraltar for cosmopolitan traders and noted a bullfight in Spain left mixed impressions amid lively crowd scenes and reactions from the young crew.

Motorcycle Collision With Cow Injures Marshfield Farmer
Marshfield farmer Clift Tyler on a motorcycle struck a cow that stepped onto the road near I A Foxworthy's residence Saturday evening. He was thrown headfirst, suffered a deep head injury, and was carried to the Foxworthy home for medical aid. He is recovering and hopes to be fully well soon.
New Plan for School Opening Announced
Supt Mullinnix unveils a plan to ease book shortages on opening day. High school and eighth grade students report at 8 40 for enrollment and receive book lists to obtain texts by noon. Lower grades report at 1 15 for enrollment and lists. Mr and Mrs Sharp and children leave for York Nebraska after summer with the Mathers.
