Canvass of 1899 Atlantic County Election Records
The Board of Supervisors met as ex officio canvassers on November 12 1899 to tally township and precinct returns. By November 14 1899 they completed the governor and district canvass and declared M N Baker elected, plus county officers and township officials, noting adjournment sine die after sealing abstracts.

County Board Minutes From Atlantic Iowa 1899
The Board of Supervisors met in regular session to transact county business with all members present. Minutes of vacation approved. Treasurer authorized to rebate 1898 taxes for soldier exemptions on two Atlantic lots. Auditor to redeem tax sale parcels for church property and double taxation issues. Refund of $1.86 to August Greenwald for 1898 double assessment. Meredith and Olds highway vacation petition referred to L. Mountain with power to act.
