Frances May Dickerson born February 12 1865 in Lewis Cass county Iowa died May 14 1899 in Oskaloosa Missouri. She was retiring gentle and courteous and beloved by friends. A Mount Holyoke alumna she carried Mary Lyon's spirit until illness forced her to withdraw. A Congregational church member she suffered long but rests at last. A large procession accompanied the body to the cemetery. A few thousand rolls of wallpaper appear as a stray line at the end of the obituary.
