Juvenile hose team to march in Atlantic parade
The Thomas Bowman hose cart from the State firemens tournament in Iowa City arrives and will lead the parade on August 8 as the Southwestern Iowa Firemen showcase. Geo Lang will organize a twenty two boy juvenile hose team next Tuesday with six and seven year olds. The group includes twenty on the ropes plus a foreman and assistant foreman, all in uniform. Friends are invited to Atlantic on August 3.

Banquet Farewell at K P Hall Precedes Move
K P members planned a farewell banquet in their old hall before moving to the I O O F building. The second meeting in the new hall followed a deferred date, featuring a rich spread including buns, bread, ham, fried chicken, olives, cakes, fruit, coffee, and cigars. Miss Grace Aldrich and Miss Edna Henshaw hosted a reception at Squire Aldrich’s South Locust Street home for about one hundred friends with Crokinole, Regina music, ice cream, cakes, and floral decorations.
