Arrests Placed In Justice Court On Misconduct And Adultery

In Justice Court John J. Jones was arrested yesterday on information sworn by his father I A Jones for malicious mischief and destruction of property. The hearing was moved to Justice Wallace with 10 o clock set Monday though he may waive examination and await the grand jury. M Swanson was arrested today on a warrant by Justice Wallace for adultery. He waived examination and was bound over to await action of the grand jury. We carry all supplies for amateur photographers. Runaway Wagon Injures Westphalen Driver Tom Nutter

Tom Nutter driver of a Westphalen delivery wagon was severely injured in a noon runaway after a rein fell. He clung to the horse and was dragged, then thrown and run over. bruises and facial injuries ensued but no bones were broken. He is expected to recover in days.

Tragic Runover Kills Eagle Grove Man Fred Hodges

Fred Hodges, a 45 year old brake and switch man from Eagle Grove, was fatally struck by a car on a special steel train in Tama yards. He died at 7 45 am after being mangled, his body to be sent home this afternoon. He leaves a wife and two children, and was a longtime resident with friends greatly shocked by the accident.

Mra J W Cuykendall entertained about forty guests at her home for her brother in law Charles Cuykendall. The evening began with conversation and cards, a card designated luncheon seating, followed by vocal and piano selections. After refreshments guests danced with two steps waltzes cake walks and jigs, breaking up late with a pleasant ending.

Oberlin reports the sudden death of Mrs. G F Wright wife of Prof G F Wright renowned geologist at her Elm street home from angina pectoris. An alumna of Lake Erie Seminary she lived a quiet life enriched by character and was sister of Mrs H A Disbrow of the city who travels to Oberlin for the funeral.
