Williams selection by President Wilson was announced at the White House He is solicitor for the Department of Agriculture and was recommended by Secretary of the Treasury Houston who formerly served as secretary of Agriculture

He notes the United States could increase trade with improved shipping and urges more Argentines to visit the United States. Iowa City March 16 Fifty four state schools will compete in the University of Iowa state high school basketball tournament beginning March 18. Forty four receive first round byes while ten teams begin play on the floor second round. Pairings include Davenport vs LeMars Boone vs Livermore Ames vs Marion University High vs Nevada and more with several undefeated entries.
