She admits firing and was found with revolver with four empty shells. She says he had tried to enter several times overnight. Two rival groups contend for Webster county fair location. The Webster County Fair and Exposition association reclaimed Mineral City property after disputes over a fifty five acre purchase from W. G. Hogs Attack Child Near Red Oak May Not Recover
Four year old Red Oak boy, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell Harris, wandered into a hog lot and was savagely mauled. The hogs chewed his hand nearly off and blinded one eye. His mother, who is hard of hearing, found him as doctors say recovery is unlikely. The incident occurred southwest of Red Oak, Iowa, on June 10.

Speed Trials End In Drowning In Davenport
During a hydroplane speed trial on the Mississippi a race boat overturned while tow ing a skiff carrying Raymond Garner and G L Viviman both from Rock Island and Davenport respectively. Garner 18 drowned Viviman escaped unharmed. The craft owned by W H Kaufman sped the pair through heavy spray before disaster.
