Milledgeville Georgia September 10 1859 Ell McConnell certifies that Henry H Waters then of Cherokee county now a Gov Brown secretary requested a committee to settle all county treasurer debts. The committee found Waters owed about 214 dollars principal plus 8 percent interest and paid 50 dollars attorney fees and all costs. Water’s repayment fully settled the county debt and interest.
